How do we choose a location for our wedding?
Most couples have their ceremony on the beach where they stay, such as a beach house, condo or resort. One of the most romantic and private ceremonies you can have would be at a beach house if that is within your budget. Whichever you choose you must check with the owner or rental agency to see if they will allow you to have your ceremony there. You will also want to know if you'll be responsible for any fees they may charge. If you are thinking of staying at a resort, check first to see if you are free to choose your own wedding vendors. Generally, you'll have a lot more flexibility with a beach house or condo. If you don't plan to stay beachside or at a place that has access to the beach then there are lots of beautiful county and state parks and public access points that we frequently use. Ultimately, the choice is yours. When you contact us for booking we can help with any questions you may have and upon booking you will have access to our preferred vendors list which will also include a list of wedding friendly accommodations.

What if it rains?
Fortunately, there are very few rain outs. If your ceremony is taking place at a beach house, the house could serve as a back up location. Public and state parks or access points where there is a pavilion available can work as a rain back up. If you have a reception venue, that can also be an option. It will be your decision and responsibility to have a back up plan. Some couples choose wedding insurance for peace of mind.

What is a Seashell Wishes Ceremony?
The Seashell Wishes Ceremony is a beautiful way to include everyone by way of offering blessings and good wishes to the newlyweds. When the guests arrive they are given a seashell to hold throughout the ceremony, filling them with good wishes and thoughts. At the end of your ceremony your guests toss the seashells along with their wishes into the water for an endless journey with the tide.
